Is 4K just another TV fad?

I've been associated with the consumer electronics industry for more than a decade now and have sold everything from VCR's to DVD players, SD TV's to 4K Ultra HD TV's and so on. There are a lot of gimmicks that have come in between and the most recent one is the 4K TV. Customers keep asking whether it really is worth it to get one. What's so great about the 4K TV? Well, I'm going to try and answer all those questions in this article.

The first thing I learnt was that people are genuinely curious about these things. I earlier thought that they were being sarcastic when they asked these questions and while some of them are, a lot of them are genuinely curious to know the difference. They want to be well informed before they make any purchases. I would recommend that they visit 4KTV.com to find out everything about 4K TV's. They can also get help on choosing the right 4K TV for them on that website.

These TV's certainly aren't a fad like 3D. 4K basically means the television has 4 times as many pixels as regular, Full HD TV's. This simply means the picture looks a lot sharper. It is simple math. If a full HD screen comes with 2 million pixels, a 4K screen comes with 8 million pixels. A sharper, clearer picture. That's what you get.

The technology is relatively new right now but it is quickly catching on for sure. Within the next couple of years or so, everyone should be on the 4K bandwagon. So it is just a matter of time before you will be upgrading to a 4K TV anyway.

Even 4K Blu-ray players are going to be entering the market very soon. Purchasing one of those more or less means you have to buy a 4K TV as well otherwise what's the point?

Netflix already offers 4K streaming for a lot of its content. You will not be getting the maximum benefit out of this content unless you are watching it on a 4K TV.

One last thing, some of the best 4K TV's out there also have the ability to enhance 1080p images. This means that those images will look so much better on the 4K TV's as well. So what are you waiting for? It's time you switched to 4K and improved your TV viewing experience drastically.
